Attachment-based & somatic psychotherapy — Warfield, Berkshire
Transforming the way you relate to yourself
Lasting change happens when we move beyond simply understanding our struggles and begin to experience ourselves differently.
What brings people here
Most people arrive knowing something is wrong,
but not quite where it lives.
Anxiety
A nervous system still braced for something that has already passed.
Burnout
Running on effort long after the fuel ran out, and unable to stop.
Low self-worth
An inner voice you would never use on anyone you loved.
Relationship difficulties
The same pattern, with different people, for years.
Trauma
Memory the body kept hold of when the mind moved on.
Grief
Loss that has nowhere to go, and no timetable for going.
Life transitions
Becoming a parent, leaving a career, ending a marriage, starting again.
Children & young people
Age-appropriate work, with parents held alongside rather than outside.
How the work is done
Four strands, drawn on as each person needs them. Nobody gets a protocol.
Insight alone rarely changes anything.
The body has to come too.
01
Integrative & attachment-based psychotherapy
We look at the patterns you built to stay safe, and at the relationships that taught you to build them. Understanding why is not the destination — but it is where the ground gets firm enough to stand on.
02
Somatic therapy & nervous system support
Tension, shutdown and reactivity are not character flaws; they are a nervous system doing its job with old information. We work with interoception — your felt sense of your own body — to widen what you can stay present for.
03
Breathwork & meditation
Breath is the one part of the autonomic nervous system you can take hold of directly. Used carefully and slowly, it becomes something you can reach for at 3am, long after the session has ended.
04
Holistic wellbeing
Sleep, movement, nutrition and supplementation, considered as part of the picture rather than a separate department.
